HOW TO CORRECTLY PLAY VOLLEYBALL

Although this sport is not as famous as soccer or basketball, this sport is known for its adrenaline rush meaning that this sport can get pretty intense when two strong teams meet with each other. This sport also divides men and women equally which means women volleyball is as competitive and exciting as the men volleyball which is why volleyball is not only attracting men but also women to join big events or leagues. However, before we are getting deeper on volleyball itself, we need to correctly know how to play it otherwise we will get lost pretty easily whilst we watch or even play the game. Here are the list of several important things that we should know about how to play volleyball in a proper way.

  1. First things first, we need to choose players before getting into the game. The formal arrangement is that each team consists of 6 players where three players are placed on the front row whereas the rest of the players are placed on the back row. It is also a common knowledge that the player which is placed in the right back corner is on the duty to serve.
  1. Rotation is also an essential thing to be remembered whilst playing volleyball. Rotation urges players to shift position with the other in the same direction or rotation which can be done each time they score or if other team scores. This also means that the server will not only be the same throughout all game where it is going to be changed each time the rotation is done.
  1. Delivering a serve in the volleyball is always challenging since an excellent serve can give a huge advantage to the team whereas a false serve is totally ruining the mood of the team. Hence, it is important to know how to serve well. First, we need to step back from the white line before we server otherwise it will not be counted as a serve and the team will lose the ball to the opponent team. Second, strong serve can score easier but it can also be countered easier by the opponent if the power is not good enough or if it aims to the spot which is crowded by opponent players. Weak serve also has a good side where it is common that the opponents are tricked with a weak serve
  1. Returning the ball in volleyball is another essential thing to be learned. The rule stated that we are able to return the ball with any body parts but most of the time volleyball players are using either one hand or two hands to return the ball. Returning the ball is also possible even if the ball has gone out from the white line but still hasn’t touched the ground. In this case, we can return the ball even if we step outside the white line as long as the ball has not touched the ground whatsoever
