For many people, games already become an important part of their daily lives. Whether they admit it or not, they find something is missing if they don’t play games for just one day. They days will not be complete without playing games as their primary source of diversion. However, there are many risks associated with playing games. Parents should keep an eye on their children, especially if they have started to spend so much time playing games. This is something that they need to avoid whenever possible. Game addiction can be particularly harmful. Although gaming addiction may not be as harmful as drug or alcohol destruction, sufferers could still experience reduced productivity and other related factors.

 Today, many people own video consoles, personal computers and mobile devices. Compared to a few decades ago, children are now more attached to games and televisions. The Internet has also provided children with thousands of games. Hundreds of new games are released each week for iOS and Android devices. It means that people could literally spend their lifetime playing games and there are still many games that they are not able to play. Games could provide them with various problem solving skills and educational factors. However, other games could give them various risks that they need to avoid. Games are all about entertainment and education, so we should consider other factors and children should be given proper guidance if their games are potentially violent.

Other than violence and drugs addiction contents, there are also other disadvantages related to games. Game addictions can be quite difficult to overcome among children. In some cases, children can be so addicted that they ant to skip schools, so they are able to play favorite matches. This is something that needs to be addressed. People could also skip meals and physical exercises when they play games. In this case, games could affect their health conditions. Recent surveys have shown that games are contributing to overall weight gains and even obesity among people who have sedentary lifestyle. This is something that we need to avoid whenever possible. Risks factors could increase exponentially, so we should watch them.

People who are deeply attached to games could start to forget all the important things in their lives. Because they have limited time, they may eat more junk foods and they could stop exercising. People who play for more than 6 hours each day could risk having various health issues, especially if this condition happens for years. There are also various mental problems to consider. People may not be able to discern the differences of in-game life and real life. Children who play too many games could do various out of this world acts. This is something that we should understand. Games shouldn’t detach children from their daily lives.

Parents should avoid these things from happening to their children. Parents should be able to guide their kids and time limitation should be immediately enforced when possible. Games can be certainly helpful, but uncontrolled gaming behaviors could cause various addiction issues. As parents, they should be responsible for the well-being and health of their children.
